Live INDIA VS ENGLAND, 5TH TEST

Live INDIA VS ENGLAND, 5TH TEST

Live Cricket Score of India vs England, 5th Test, Day 2 at Chennai

Live Cricket Score of India vs England, 5th Test, Day 2 at Chennai

Jos Buttler has been sent on his way..first by India and then by Moeen as there was no need for a review. Buttler's initial shuffle across the stumps always carried the risk of making him susceptible to LBWs. And that's exactly what has happened here. Butler walked across to flick and missed the straight ball that was bowled on middle-and-off stump. Stuck below the knee roll, the decision went against Butler. England lose their sixth.
Poor review....again:

India's reviewing is poor again. Virat Kohli has done this before - deliberated for a while and gone with the review in the 11th hour, more with hope than conviction. On this occasion, it was for an LBW call against Jos Buttler, when the impact of the ball hitting the knee roll was clearly outside the off stump. Buttler survives and India lose 50 % of their reviews early.
Ashwin stikes early:  Ben Stokes goes
This is exactly what England did not need! India have found an early breakthrough. Ravichandran Ashwin, who bowled tirelessly on Day 1, has earned his reward in the first over on Day 2. Ashwin tossed one up and drew Stokes to push at the ball away from his body. The England batsman got no where near the pitch of the ball and a faint nick off the outside edge was pouched by Parthiv Patel behind the stumps. Pressure on Moeen to carry on increases! England 288 for 5.
Build-up:  Moeen Ali powers England
Moeen Ali's impressive 120* was the talking point from Day 1 of the Chennai Test, when Indian spinners found it tough to force breakthroughs on a slow and sluggish track. But, a fresh day brings a fresh narrative? England have 284 runs on the board, a centurion and a confident batsman in the middle and six wickets in hand - surely they're in the driver's seat. However, they will be well aware of the fact that they were in a similar position in the Mumbai Test and still lost by a comprehensive margin. Day 1 was hard work paying off but that can't stop if they are to finish the Test series on a happy note.

As for India, they need to start afresh. If the spinners can force a collapse today, it won't take time to turn the tables on the visitors. Big, big first session coming up today!

IPL9 2016-Kings XI Punjab vs Gujarat Lions, IPL 2016 Match 3 at Mohali

Kings XI Punjab vs Gujarat Lions, IPL 2016 Match 3 at Mohali: Dwayne ‘Champion’ Bravo vs David Miller

live ipl9 2016

Gujarat Lions have a strong batting lineup, with Brendon McCullum and Aaron Finch set to provide a cracking opening combination. The bowling consists of Dwayne Bravo, James Faulkner and new-ball operators in Praveen Kumar, Dale Steyn and Dhawal Kulkarni. Thus this is a very strong team led by Suresh Raina.
On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab are bolstered by Shaun Marsh and Murali Vijay at the top of the order. Glenn Maxwell and captain David Miller (who had a poor season last year) will make up the big hitters. The bowling though, is more inexperienced than the Lions', with Axar Patel, Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma and Anureet Singh likely to play alongside the retired Mitchell Johnson.
The team winning the toss may want to bowl first, since this has been the method to restrict the opposition to a paltry score and win with ease, in the two games so far.

Kings XI Punjab Squad in IPL 2016 Match 3 at Mohali:

Kyle Abbott, Anureet Singh, Armaan Jaffer, Farhaan Behardien, Konganda Cariappa, Rishi Dhawan, Gurkeerat Singh, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Nikhil Naik, Axar Patel, Wriddhiman Saha, Pardeep Sahu, Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Marcus Stoinis, Swapnil Singh, Shardul Thakur, Murali Vijay, Manan Vohra

Gujarat Lions Squad in IPL 2016 Match 3 at Mohali

Dwayne Bravo, Paras Dogra, Eklavya Dwivedi, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja, Shadab Jakati, Dinesh Karthik, Shival Kaushik, Dhawal Kulkarni, Praveen Kumar, Sarabjit Ladda, Brendon McCullum, Amit Mishra, Akshdeep Nath, Suresh Raina, Pradeep Sangwan, Jaydev Shah, Umang Sharma, Dwayne Smith, Dale Steyn, Pravin Tambe, Andrew Tye
Brendon McCullum vs Mitchell Johnson: Trans-Tasman rivalry is all set to reignite in IPL 9 when McCullum faces Johnson at Mohali on Monday. McCullum, who retired from international cricket after hitting the quickest Test hundred, will look to smother out Johnson. McCullum showed his hitting excellence against the might of Australian bowlers in at his home stadium, Johnson on the other is coming into IPL 9 without an iota of match practice and will need to be right on the mark from first ball to get the better of McCullum.
James Faulkner vs Glenn Maxwell: Australia’s most astute all-rounder Faulkner faces off against Australia’s most aggressive batsmen Maxwell during the contest between Punjab and Gujarat. Faulkner, who was in the news for getting thrashed by Virat Kohli during the ICC World T20 tie between India and Australia, will look to live up to his reputation as a bowler  (prime responsibility) and a batsmen later. Maxwell on the other had showed just glimpses of his hard-hitting skills the last time he batted for KXIP in IPL and will look rekindle his form and come out as the better Australian in this all Aussie clash.
Ravindra Jadeja vs Akshar Patel: Jadeja and Akshar have constantly being compared to each other as they vouch for the same position in the Indian team. Jadeja has been preferred over Akshar due to his experience and control over the ball and more importantly for being a much more aggressive batsmen. Akshar, who came into national reckoning after his IPL 2014 performance, will look for an encore again and make a name for himself again. Jadeja on the other hand will look to prove his detractors wrong, who have time and again attributed him as an under-performing player.
Suresh Raina vs Mohit Sharma: Raina will want to get  his good luck captaincy charm into the IPL as well after guiding UP to the T20 domestic glory in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2015-16. Mohit has been Raina’s former team Chennai Super King’s (CSK) go to bowler when it came to restricting the flow of runs. Mohit will hope to mirror the same duties, when he turns up in the KXIP jersey. Given the fact that Raina has been off-color completely in the T20 World Cup, it hold goods for Mohit at any given situation.

IPL9 2016, KXIP vs GL, Match No. 3: Likely XI for Kings XI Punjab
Kings XI Punjab play the Gujarat Lions at Mohali on Monday. The match begins at 8 pm IST.
One is a seasoned side which is yet to win an IPL in eight editions. The other, Gujarat Lions, is a new team built out of the ashes of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Kings XI Punjab face Gujarat Lions in their opening match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on Monday. It is the third match of the ninth edition of IPL. Gujarat are making their debut in IPL and will look to make an impact in their very first match in the Indian T20 league. While they are led by the most successful player of IPL, Suresh Raina, Punjab have a new skipper in the young South African David Miller. Punjab, whose best season happened to be in 2014 when they made it to their maiden IPL final, finished in the bottom of the table in the next season. With their then captain George Bailey having been released now, Miller has a huge task ahead of him. Here is Punjab’s likely XI for their contest against. Read More: Watch IPL 2016 live: Kings XI Punjab(KXIP) vs Gujarat Lions(GL) live streaming and TV information
IPL 2016, KXIP vs GL, Match No. 3: Likely XI for Kings XI Punjab

Top-Order: Although Manan Vohra had a poor season last year scoring just 82 from seven matches, he more or less will retain the opening slot along with Murali Vijay. The latter was the third highest run-scorer for Punjab in 2015 with 251 runs from 11 innings. With Virender Sehwag now retired from international cricket including IPL, a huge chunk of responsibility falls on this duo to give Punjab the required good starts on regular intervals. They have done in the past and there is no reason why they cannot do in the coming matches. Vohra easily has an upper hand against the opponents since Mohali is his home ground; he has played enough cricket in the venue since his domestic debut.
Middle-Order: Punjab have one of the strongest line-ups in the middle, at least on paper with the likes of Miller, Glenn Maxwell, Shaun Marsh and Wriddhiman Saha. The wicketkeeper-batsman, Saha, had scored a century in the final against KKR in 2014 when the entire team had failed. That knock of his demonstrated his capability of handling pressure and stepping up in crunch situations and that’s exactly what a middle-order batsman is demanded of. Maxwell, who plays the Chris Gayle of Punjab will have to come up with more responsible innings this time around in order to remain at the crease for longer times.
The skipper himself is a power hitter and he is coming off a good World T20 despite South Africa crashing out from the group stage. He was one of the few Proteas who delivered with the bat in most of the occasions. Along with his form, he will have to handle the huge responsibility of the side’s captaincy. It will be interesting to watch how the youngster handles these departments.
Lower-Order and Bowling: The trio of Kyle Abbott, Sandeep Sharma and Mohit Sharma will have to be at their top game to ensure Punjab do not have to chase down big totals whenever they will have to bat second. Akshar Patel being their only full-time spin option with Maxwell chipping in with his off-break. Abbott played three World T20 matches and had picked a total of seven wickets so Punjab have had a good buy in the auction. On the other hand, Sandeep who has been with Punjab since 2013 has been one of the keys players down the order who can even hit the ball hard towards the last overs.

Kings XI Punjab Squad IPL9 2016:

Kyle Abbott, Anureet Singh, Armaan Jaffer, Farhaan Behardien, Konganda Cariappa, Rishi Dhawan, Gurkeerat Singh, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Nikhil Naik, Axar Patel, Wriddhiman Saha, Pardeep Sahu, Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Marcus Stoinis, Swapnil Singh, Shardul Thakur, Murali Vijay, Manan Vohra
